Midnight and Scratch came to ARF in March. They were a day old when they came in. They were found at a local landscape company and brought to us immediately, and I ended up taking them home. You get so invested in these kittens' care that you feel like you're the only one that can help them. Midnight and Scratch were very, very special to me, so much so that I was going to keep Midnight for myself because I didn't think anyone else was going to be able to take care of her the way I knew she needed until I met Beatrice, and something in me just knew that this was the perfect place for Midnight to go. Midnight, do you remember when I first saw you? I think she does. I think that's a yes. I really wanted a kitten or a cat to give it love. I made a PowerPoint because I wanted to convince my parents to get a cat. It worked, and it was 100% foolproof. While I was feeding Midnight one day, this little girl named Beatrice came in and saw me feeding Midnight through the window. I knew right away that she was a special kit. Bridget, she told us, hey, want to come in and see a surprise? So that's when I first met Midnight. When I held her, she was like, she really liked how it felt, and she was like purring a little bit. It felt like I was in heaven. So they did the adoption paperwork. Beatrice actually signed her own because she's very prepared, and it was really special for me to see such a wonderful family take Midnight home. She's been getting along well with the family, except that she's done cuts, scrapes, biting. It's a lot. And Sunny, on the other hand, they get along well, but Sunny has a little bit of a bad habit of trying to, you know, chomp, chomp on Midnight's head and stomach. I think Sunny thinks she's playing with her, but Midnight, on the other hand, well, sometimes she's like, meow. I got two scratches in the shape of a V. A V. Two more, like this and this. It's going to be an M for Midnight. MNARF is for supporting ARF Hamptons. We donate all this money so they can afford to help and get new toys, get new beds. It's very important because, well, if we didn't have organizations like ARF, the animals, they wouldn't find a family, find a home, and find some love and be cared for. You know, I think I actually am crying. Because to anyone, it's ARF makes the pets special. Midnight's very special to me because she brought joy to my life. I think it's going to make my heart explode and go.
