About This Video Project

In this heartwarming video, we share the story of Wallace, a resilient little kitten who came to us at just four weeks old, weighing less than a pound and suffering from a severe injury to his back foot. Found at a boat ramp in Vero Beach, his journey started with urgent x-rays to assess his injuries. Despite the challenges ahead, including the potential need for amputation, Wallace found a compassionate foster home where he received love, care, and regular medical attention.

For over 70 years, the Humane Society of Vero Beach has been a vital safety net for animals in the Indian River County community, nurturing those who have faced cruelty, neglect, or abandonment. Our mission is to provide medical support, find foster homes, and ensure every animal has the chance for a better life.

Wallace's story is a testament to the dedication and love that drives our team. After gaining weight and healing, he underwent surgery that allowed him to keep his leg, growing into a lively cuddle bug who brings joy to his new family. We’re incredibly grateful for the community’s support through donations, which enable us to continue providing the highest quality care for animals in need.

Join us in our mission to rescue and care for animals like Wallace by watching this touching journey.
