About This Video Project

The Daniela Conte Foundation hired us to produce a recap video for their 3rd Annual Butterfly 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run sponsored by Orange Theory Fitness of Long Island. There was mini golf, face painting, balloon animals and we were honored to be there documenting this special event. DCF is a tribute to Daniela and her courageous battle with a rare cancer and it stands as a beacon of hope for families facing similar challenges. Their mission is to provide financial support to families of children diagnosed with cancer, raise awareness of pediatric cancer, emphasizing its significance and the need for resources and attention, and funding research specifically targeted at Rhabdomyosarcoma, with a unique interest in Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS). These objectives underscore the foundation’s dedication to assisting families in their fight against pediatric cancer and their quest for a cure, particularly in the realm of Rhabdomyosarcoma. The unwavering support of the community, sponsors and volunteers came to life that day as participants young or old ran and walked in memory of Daniela.

I want to thank everyone for coming today what an amazing turnout we had for our third annual butterfly 5k and we’re so incredibly blessed that all of you have chosen to be here with us this morning. I just want to take a moment to thank our wonderful sponsors. We couldn’t do this event without them. Our sponsors is what makes this event possible. I also want to personally thank Orange Theory Fitness of Long Island staff for returning third time in a row is presenting sponsors. All of us in our interior all over the island have been so excited to sponsor the Danielle Conti butterfly run. This is just such an amazing event it’s been an incredible experience. A little over three years Daniela had passed away and truly we continue to be humbled by the amount of people that continue to keep her in remembrance but not only those that have been inspired by her life but those that have been inspired to take action to take action against pediatric cancer and join a Daniella Conti foundation in our joint mission. Thank you for believing in our mission and the work that we do every day to that foundation. We are committed to helping these children and their families throughout their battles against childhood cancer and whatever way we can. Thank you to all our volunteers, the board and the advisory board who made this day possible. Thank you for coming out and thank you for standing in the fight against childhood cancer. My name is Hina, I’m volunteering at the face painting table. This event is super important to me because I’m a childhood cancer survivor. There was mini golf, there’s a lot of face painting, someone’s doing balloon animals that was really fun. When you’re like looking for community and just see like so many people are behind you it’s incredible. Having an organization to raise money and awareness for these kinds of things is so so important to me. Even if like we raise enough money to help one more kid that’s one more kid. At the Daniella Conti foundation we have made it our life’s mission to make cancer a treatable and a curable disease. Changing their lives is what drives us every day. From all of us at DCF, thank you for your support.
