About This Video Project
In this impactful video, we shine a light on the incredible work done by United Veterans Beacon House (UVBH) to support our nation’s veterans. From serving in our armed forces to facing the challenges of civilian life, many veterans struggle with homelessness, unemployment, and mental health issues. UVBH has been a beacon of hope since 1994, providing essential services to over 1,250 veterans each year. With 58 housing locations across Long Island, they offer emergency, transitional, and permanent housing solutions, along with nutritional aid, transportation, and pro bono legal services.
The organization goes beyond just housing; their comprehensive support system helps veterans regain independence and rebuild their lives, with around 600 veterans in the community benefiting from their resources. Through dedicated job readiness programs, UVBH successfully helps nearly 75 veterans secure employment annually, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for a brighter future.
Every dollar donated to UVBH makes a tangible difference, with 91 cents of each dollar going directly to veteran care. We invite you to join this vital mission by donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can ensure that no veteran is left behind.

Year after year, our veterans dedicate themselves to serving our great nation, making countless sacrifices to protect our freedoms and our way of life. But for some, the transition to civilian life is filled with many challenges, including homelessness, unemployment, and mental health struggles. This is where United Veterans Beacon House steps in. Since 1994, UVBH has been a beacon of hope. Serving over 1,250 veterans annually, we provide critical support, including housing, nutritional aid, transportation, pro bono legal services, and referrals to health care and education. For many veterans dealing with trauma, physical injuries, or substance abuse, these resources can dramatically help them rebuild their lives. We manage 58 housing locations across Long Island, offering emergency, transitional, and permanent housing. We also work with approximately 600 veterans living in the community, helping prevent homelessness by providing the resources and support they need to maintain their independence. Since its founding, UVBH has assisted over 30,500 homeless veterans. And in fact, each year, almost 75 veterans secure employment through our Job Readiness Programs, giving them the skills and confidence they need to succeed. With 91 cents of every dollar going directly to veteran care, you can trust that your support makes a real difference. We can’t do it alone. Help us continue to change the lives of Long Island’s veterans. Donate, volunteer, or spread the word today. And together, we can ensure that no veteran is left behind.
