Pricing for Video Production Services

Video production pricing can be an extremely dynamic curve ranging from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of dollars. The main factors that affect pricing for us is crew size and
number of hours the crew is away from home.

We can think of video in terms of 3 stages:

Pre-Production (Planning)
Production (Filming)
Post Production (Editing)

2024 Pricing Formula

Pre-Production • $175/hr
Production • $2,300 to $10,000/day
Post Production • $175/hr

During a scoping call, we’re able to gather the proper information to determine the time & production team size needed for each project, which allows us to plug in our formula for accurate pricing.

Pre-production

Pre-production is everything that needs to be done before filming or editing. This could be a strategic meeting to uncover the key messages we want to communicate to your target audience, logistics like number of people being filmed, locations, timing, etc. 

Never underestimate time needed to plan properly as this could help us get the best quality and pricing for the project. Many times when pre-production is skipped by a client, the filming and editing winds up costing a lot more than it should have and the cost of extra pre-production would have been a fraction of the overall cost. 

Production

Production is essentially filming and capturing the content. To provide high-quality video production or filming, we must consider many factors including cameras, stabilizers, composition of shots, background, lighting, audio, talent, setup and breakdown time, etc. Most of this is planned during the pre-production process either internally or with the client as well. 

We film interview style videos a lot so being prepared for the interview is key. This means understanding the messaging we want to get across from the interviewees and getting the best performance from each person being interviewed. Our founder Adam Forgione is an expert interviewer with over 25 years of experience and has held countless seminars and workshops on the subject. With his guidance we are able to capture compelling and authentic moments during interviews to help tell an engaging story.

Post Production

Post Production is primarily video editing but it can include other elements like audio sweetening, color correction, color grading, sound design, sound mixing, music selection, motion graphics, animated text, etc. Post production is where we do our magic to bring your videos to life.
