We are welcoming you now to the 38th annual Marty Lyons Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic. Marty’s been doing this 40 years or so. I know he’s emotional about this foundation and we’re going to play for a great charity and a great person. This mission has been all about the family since day one. Forty two years now we’ve been raising money for terminally ill children and with your support we continue to exist. It’s always great to come back and be part of the Marty Lyons golf outing. I think it’s very important for the people that can give back to give back. I’m happy to be here. Happy to do my part. Look forward to the day and looking forward to some fun out in the sun. I’ve been here several times and each time it seemed like it topped the previous time. You see the same people year after year at each of these events. And not only that but every year it grows. This one sold out in two weeks. So it’s just it’s a fun tournament and you’ll never see a program after the golf like you will that Marty puts on. It’s the biggest event that the foundation puts on every single year. The money that is raised grants numerous wishes. With this event we should be able to fund over twenty five thirty families. I think it’s a tribute to everybody that’s taken that mission of helping these children with a chronic life threatening illness as their own. We had a few laps out on the golf course to add some good shots. We had some bad shots but once again we came together as a family. I want to thank all the sponsors. I want to thank the the board of directors from the foundation. I want to thank the staff. I don’t think that there’s a better nonprofit staff in this country. When it’s the darkest coldest hardest season that’s when incredible foundations like this one step in and say we are here. They showed us overwhelming support and they gave me so much hope to keep going. Strength and knowing that there are truly people strangers like y’all who are rooting for kids like mine and moms like me. I think everybody has something to give. And once you become part of the foundation and once you see the wish kids and usually you’re a lifer you stay with us for people that can’t afford to donate. You can come to fundraisers you can help volunteer. You can also help spread word of our mission. It’s always important to know that there’s less fortunate people out there and if you can help them and you should to be able to grant them their special wish to make them feel like they are important is why we continue to come here. Why this event is important. Your donations today are providing so much more than trips and childhood dreams. Your contributions tonight are giving moms like me hope to keep going in a game that I’m struggling to win.
