About This Video Project

This Brand Awareness video is about Tygrus, a life science company using new chemistry technology to replace hazardous chemicals in various industries including agriculture, cosmetics and leather. We were tasked at capturing the behind the scenes of what goes on at the Tygrus HQ in Michigan in order to put together a video that would explain and show the importance of what they are doing to bring better, non-toxic yields to farmers and help multiple industries flourish without the harmful chemicals that have been used for ages that are causing issues around the globe. This video also shows investors that by being a part of Tygrus, they can ensure that their money is going toward a global cause that is sure to affect themselves and the planet as a whole as Tygrus progresses it’s technologies into the future.

Tygrus is a life science company that is leveraging new chemistry technology that can help solve world problems. The world sells $5 trillion worth of chemicals. Most of them are hazardous, they’re toxic, they can harm the environment, they can harm people. We look for opportunities to replace these hazardous chemistries with our more safer, sustainable chemistry. When you have an asset that’s safe for human touch, for plants, for animals, we can use it in multiple billion dollar sectors. These are all huge markets that we can impact and have a significant opportunity to disrupt. When we talk about the vertical markets that Tygrus can disrupt, agriculture is at the top of the list. Tygrus is right at the forefront of delivering products that are not only friendly to the environment, but help farmers grow. Anywhere between 10 and 30 percent improved yields, which improves the amount of food that people eat. Lettuce is a great example. They started seeing 20-25 percent improvement in their yields per crop. Sugar beets, we’ve seen $200 per acre increase in profit for farmers. And corn, up to $50 per acre increase in profit. We’ve seen with our product the opportunity to move and to extend shelf life on foods anywhere from three days to, we’ve seen in some cases, 30 days. Leather industry is a $26 billion industry, and the tanning portion of it is about $6 billion. We play a major role in substituting all the hazardous chemicals that are used in the leather processing. Customers are saving about 10 percent in water usage. In the U.S., a lot of the tanning business moved outside of the country because of the EPA’s strict restrictions on tanning. Restrictions on discharge water. With our technology, I feel we can bring a lot of that leather industry back into the U.S. Funding has also allowed us to build out the platform to launch our cosmetic applications. We’ve continued to invest in our IP, and we’ve picked up eight or nine new patents this year, with many still coming. As I look into the future, I see potential acquisitions where we’ll be able to hire more people to get an opportunity to introduce this on a global scale. So we are very fortunate to change the world in a positive way through our chemistry.
