LLS Girl of the Year 2021 | Abby’s Story
Global leader in the fight against cancer
About This Video Project
We created this fundraising video for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to profile 2021 Girl of the Year, Abby.
For this video, we spent the day with Abby and her family to see what her life is like after battling cancer. She showed us her room and we captured her doing different activities like playing games with her twin brother Finn as well as with her dad. This b-roll and the parent’s testimonial combined with old photos really help pull at the audience’s heartstrings. We’re no stranger to this level of production as we’ve worked with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for previous Boy and Girl of the Year videos.
LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Every year the Long Island Chapter of LLS honors two young cancer survivors, the Boy, and Girl of the Year and we are honored to tell their stories.
